The Client: Go Green Commuter Challenge
The Commuter Challenge is a friendly competition that encourages commuters to try an alternative mode of transportation, such as walking, bussing, cycling, or in-line skating. Go Green is organized by a board that includes reps from Capital Regional District, BC Transit, Saanich Municipality and community volunteers.
The Challenge: Change the habits of a working lifetime - get people out of their cars and into alternative transportation. Explain the trade-off between convenience and cost, health and effect on the environment. All on a very tight budget.
The Solution: Our PR efforts made the trip in no time. Working with Envision Consulting, we helped set a trend and we made it seem easy to help the environment, improve health, and save money while having fun! We convinced commuters that the change is well worth the effort. We even compiled a useful post-event report to make the challenge an even bigger success in the future. |
