Recent broadcast projects include Director of Photography on the travel series, "Best Places to Kiss" which airs on the Travel Channel and WTN, Vision Television's "Virtues, A Family Affair", and the CTV documentary "Cake Night." David is currently working as Director of Photography for the documentary series, "Off the Map" and "Spectacular Spas."
In 1980 from the Applied Communications Program at Camosun College in Victoria, CHTV television hired David as a cinematographer for the commercial production department. In 1986 he co-founded PanVideo Productions where he produced, shot, and edited many television programs. David's wide range of clients include the Oak Bay Marine Group, Butchart Gardens, Save-On-Foods, B.C. Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Forests, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and the B.C. Ministry of Education.
David specializes in filming high-end corporate videos, documentaries, dramas, commercials, news and Electronic Press Kits. David's forte is shooting single camera film styled drama, and is frequently requested for documentary work. His energetic professional attitude, as well as his great sense of humour, are his mainstays. These qualities are warmly and appreciatively revered by all of his clients and keep him one of the most requested camera operators in Canada.
