In the wake of HP’s fire sale for the TouchPad, it looks like yet another tablet will be given a price reduction to encourage sales. This time around it’s the HTC Flyer, thanks to the folks over at Best Buy. It has been reported that starting tomorrow, October 1st, Best Buy outlets will be reducing the price of the HTC Flyer from $499 to $299. That’s $200 off, similar to what the BlackBerry.

Just eight weeks after the South Korea-based vendor revealed that it had shipped 5 million S II smartphones in just 85 days, Samsung now says it has sold 10 million GALAXY S II devices into global sales channels. “Since its launch in late April 2011, the GALAXY S II has seen continued sales.

What can we say — this retailer’s got some ambition. Phones 4U scored a few sweet deals with HTC, announcing that it’ll be the exclusive launch partner for the Sensation XE as it becomes available on October 1st (although O2 confirmed today that it’ll come its way “soon”). Nintendo 3DS sales jump 260% after price cut

Nintendo’s president Satoru Iwata said sales of the company’s Nintendo 3DS device in Europe and the United States were weaker than expected after the portable gaming console made its debut in April for $250. However, Nintendo dropped the price of the 3Ds to $179 after the company reported its first quarterly operating loss. The move quickly boosted sales in Japan and has reportedly resulted.
